Remember a couple weeks ago when I posted on my Twitter that the BEST photo shoot locations come with the most difficult parking situations? Well- THIS was the shoot I was referring to! But how could I refuse parking illegally when the location is as beautiful as this one?! The way the sun was pouring through the trees and the leaves were glittering in the background made the parking ticket TOTALLY worth it.

I am SO excited to capture Jennifer and Seth's blush wedding in May, only 7 short days before my very own wedding! We had so much fun during their shoot and I am so happy I got to capture the love they share for each other- parking ticket and all! ;)

Stephanie + Jordan | Stillwater Engagement Session

I'm swooning over this session.

I just love it when clients bring me to meaningful places to do their engagement shoots. This one was extra special because Stephanie brought me to the place where Jordan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Not to mention it was the most beautiful downtown area and state park I have ever laid eyes on! They brought along the map of the state park marked with a heart where he proposed, and we walked the trails as I captured the love these two share for each other. Get ready for your heart to melt in

Once again- I had a rainy day at a shoot! I was actually feeling really good about the whole 'rain-during-a-photo-shoot' thing after Bethany + Alex's lovely engagement session! Even though there was no sunshine, her personality brightens up the pictures. Her smile is contagious!

I went location scouting that day, and found this red sign that said "happiness". I knew I was going to do pictures in front of it at some point, and Olivia ended up being the perfect muse! Too perfect. 

Jill + Kyle | Farm Engagement

It was absolutely gorgeous the evening that we did Jill + Kyle's photos. Sunny and 70 degrees in October! I took the trip down to Waldorf where we explored the property of Kyle's farm. They will be living there together after they get married- so it was a very special location for me to capture the love they share for each other! I love going to locations that are unique and meaningful to the couple.

I can't wait to document their country themed wedding in March!

Bethany + Alex | Rainy Day Engagement

It was sunny and gorgeous as I left my house for this photo shoot. I even posted on Facebook that I was so excited about the weather and the beautiful fall colors. It was a 2 hour drive to get to Alexandria, and the closer I got-- the darker it got. We had already rescheduled this engagement session once due to rain, and weren't about to do it again! Bethany and Alex told me they had faith we would make it work- and we did! It rained and poured, but we took shelter under clear umbrellas, awnings on buildings, their adorable home, and in the cutest little wine bar in town.

They were such great sports about being flexible and making this rainy day session work. And I love how their images turned out so different than any other session I have done before. A little rain can't cover up the love these two share for each other. It shines through the pictures, even though the sun wasn't!
